Your new card is contactless for speedier transactions! A first step to offering Member-Owners the best-in-class suite of services to support your True North Debit or Credit card.

Activate your new card and set your new custom PIN* by calling:

  • 1-727-540-9434 Internationally 

*When you call to activate your card, remember to stay on the line to set your PIN.

Need to reset your PIN?

  • Call 1-888-886-0083.  Calling from a number used on your credit union account will speed the process. If you have any issues, please reach out to the Member Contact Center at (907) 523-4700.

eBanking controls and alerts

  • The Cards tab will show your new card after you activate it.  Set up new card alerts and note - you can now block and unblock your card from eBanking!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long will my old card work?

    We recommend you activate your new card and destroy your old card as soon as possible.  However, your old card will continue to work until 7:30am, February 28, 2023.

  • How do I set the PIN on my debit or credit card?

    Your PIN can be set when you activate your new card, or by calling 1-888-886-0083.  Calling from a number on your credit union account will speed the process. If you have any issues, please reach out to the Contact Center at 907-523-4700.

  • How do I pay with Mastercard contactless?

    To make a purchase, simply tap your Mastercard contactless card on the payment reader when you see the contactless symbol.  Typically, your card must be within an inch or two of the symbol at the terminal at the counter.

  • Where can I make contactless payments?

    • Tap anywhere you see the Contactless symbol at checkout
    • If you don't see the symbol, you can use your card by inserting your chip or swiping at checkout.
  • Is a contactless transaction as secure as a swipe or chip transaction?

    Yes, contactless transactions are secure!  The card never leaves your hand, and each purchase is uniquely encrypted.  Mastercard protects you from double billing in case you tap twice, and Mastercard's Zero  Liability Pprotection apply to these transactions.

  • Will my card number change?

    Yes, your new Debit and/or Credit card will have a new card number.

    Remember to update any automatic transactions you have scheduled.

    For Credit card holders: Your credit card loan account and any automatic payments you have set up through eBanking will be unaffected.

  • What are the new features on the Credit card?

    In the next few months, we will be rolling out powerful new features including:

    • Ability to control where your card is spent and for how much
    • Fraud alerts allowing you to confirm suspicious activity as it happens
    • Online travel notifications
    • Samsung, Google and Garmin Mobile Wallets
    • Digital Card issuance
  • What are the new features on the Debit card?

  • What if I only have a True North ATM card?

    Due to overall declines in ATM card usage, we have stopped offering new ATM cards to our members, and will be converting all ATM Cards over to Mastercard Debit cards in October.  

    In early October, you will receive a True North Mastercard Debit card.  This card will access all the same accounts as your ATM Card, and perform all the same functions.  Your new card will come with Mastercard benefits not found with your ATM Card, including Identity Theft Protection!   Further, this change will allow us to offer you more robust controls and options in the future.

    You can activate and start using your new Mastercard Debit Card on October 26th.   Your ATM Card will stop working on that date as well.

  • I got a fee using my True North ATM Card at a True North Machine. What do I do?

    We are sorry for this issue!  As part of the conversion, True North ATM Card holders are temporarily getting fees at some of our machines.  We are working to fix this, but if you affected please contact the branch or Member Contact Center at (907) 523-4700 and we will reverse that fee for you.  Our apologies for the inconvenience!
